Fence Colour

The restrictive covenant that guides residents of Blackburne Creek, specifies the stain colours that must be used on wooden fencing materials in our community.  Residents are asked to take a look at their fences and if the colour is starting to fade, please have them restained.

The Blackburne Creek Design Guidelines (schedule C) of the Restrictive Covenant list the approved stain color as:

1.       ‘Forest’ made by Olympic Paints.

           

Acceptable alternatives are:

1.        ‘Evergreen’ made by Behr Contemporary. 

2.        ‘Evergreen’ made by Benjamin Moore.

3.        ‘Leafy Bower’ made by Pratt and Lambert.

              

Over the years, these brands have been available at stores such as Home Depot, Lowe's and Cloverdale Paints. It is known that the Benjamin Moore stain was available at Kans of Any Colour (3821-99 Street) in the summer of 2021 because that store was used for the fence stain promotion done by the HOA to provide a price break for those who needed to stain their fence.

Please check with these stores before going there to ensure the stain is still in stock.

Please note, that Deep Hemlock Green is NOT one of the colours listed in the covenant, although it has been used previously in the community.
