Crime in Blackburne

The Edmonton Police Service launched a very interesting website this past summer.  It shows every recorded crime across Edmonton for the past few years and it's already proven it's worth in Blackburne Creek.

 

While there's not as much crime in Blackburne Creek as other parts of Edmonton, there's no question crimes still occur.  In fact, October was one of the worst months for crime in several years as three recorded events took place in our community.  Two vehicles were stolen and there was also a break in.  The police service site serves as a good reminder that residents should do all they can to prevent cimes from happening and also keep an eye out for each other to help in the battle against cime.

You will also notice that the device to measure speed is set up again on Blackburn Drive as you arrive in the community.  Please do all you can to stay below the 50 kilometer an hour limit as you drive through our area.
