Front Entry flower bed clean up May 31 and June 1
Our front entry signs have been re-sealed and painted with thanks to our board member Brad!
The surrounding flower beds are also in need of some TLC. The rock mulch is full of soil and as such weeds are easily settling in this space. We will be removing the rock and weed barrier and replacing this with wood mulch. This will help to keep the weeds down and will also provide support for moisture retention as our summers seem to be warmer and drier than in the past.
We need your help! Removing the rock and replacing with wood mulch will be hard work. We are looking for volunteers to bring their shovels, work gloves and sense of community to help us!
In addition, any community members who would be interested in collecting some rock mulch to use in their own yards are welcome to do so!
- When: May 31st 10 am – we will be removing the rock mulch and weed barrier
AND
- June 1st 10 am – we will be placing the wood mulch
- What to bring: shovels, work gloves, buckets for rock you’d like to take home, wheel barrow
This work has been generously sponsored by Companion Veterinary Clinic!! Many Thanks to our sponsors!!
